February 23, 2021

Dear students,

With group meeting restrictions continuing here in New Mexico, I will again employ the alternative way for you all to listen to and study our 2021 association address. On August 7th, here on our association website under the password protected page, I will post an audio of me presenting this year’s address, along with its complete text. A week or so before the 7th, I will be in touch about the way for you to get the password.

As before, both the audio and text will stay available in this way until our next association meeting in 2022. People often tell me that they appreciate being able to continue to read the address over the course of the entire year. In this special instance, you each will be able to continue to hear it all, too. Feel free to imbibe the message in one sitting or you can return often to it to study it at your own speed.

I will have a big feast prepared for you again. The foundation for this year’s address is Mary Baker Eddy’s declaration on page 254 of Science and Health that “the human self must be evangelized. This task God demands us to accept lovingly to-day, and to abandon so fast as practical the material, and to work out the spiritual which determines the outward and actual.”

Last year’s association address will remain posted through August 6th of this year.

In this eternal moment, we meet with God, in unity with God. While we won’t be seeing one-another in person this summer, this sentiment of Mary Baker Eddy’s continues to apply well for our whole association of students and precious guests: “Where God is we can meet, and where God is we can never part” (My., p. 131).

Renee and I send our love to you,

Mark Swinney
